after the hiatus

I've been finishing up few things, and some of these are actually still in the works. I've been trying to keep a rather cohesive look or theme through out some of the more recent works. Still trying to figure it out....I'll be setting things up to start a little online store sometime soon to sell prints... good idea/bad idea?

This one is still in progress, and im super excited to finish it up. Right now I'm looking to warm up the back ground blues a bit, tone them down, and finish up the bottom third.
Hope you folks like it.

start of summer

I'm trying out a new process that I started messing around with. The first one was a little experiment that I'd to turn into a series of works. The second is the first illustration for a triptych of the three fates from Greek mythology. Enjoy, and feedback is always appreciated :) Also, don't forget: I have store up on etsy.com, and I'll be putting up some more work
up for sale soon.
I keep you guys posted!

monotypes

Just did my first monotypes in the past week or so. I'm posting them up in the order I did them. Monotypes rule.

THESIS!!!!

Just a re-cap:
My thesis is about villainesses from fairy tales/kids stories. I pretty much just wanted to portray an unconventional take on these mean ladies, and turn them into my own vision. So enjoy, and thank you to everyone who made it to the show, it meant a lot!

The next in my series for thesis is gonna be Cruella DeVille. I'm super stoked because it's the only piece in the series that's going to be oil painting. Thanks Brianna, my model, for being perfect reference!

thesis preview

The senior thesis show for illustration is happening Arpil 30th! By then I'll have all of these done. I'm doing a series of updated, less conventional versions of villainesses from fairy tales/children's stories. Right now the main two I'm working on are Milificent (Sleeping Beauty) and the Queen of Hearts (Alice in Wonderland). So I'm super stoked to get them all done.IF any of you folks are in Sarasota come to the show!

Here's what I'm working on...

latest

These are just some of the projects I've been doing in media class. One is from the first pen and ink assignment we did, then added a little photoshop magic to add in some color and details. the two watercolors are for the same class, one with colored line, and one with out. I'm currently working on the same subject but in gouache which has been pretty fun.

poison: final

I finished the piece I was working on for society. It's all ink, pastel, and pencil. When I finished it traditionally, I went in and tweaked it digitally to make certain things pop or recede. So here's two versions, one with some 'photoshop magic," and the traditional media version.

new stuff

I'm working on a new piece to hopefully submit to society of illustrators next week. So far I have sample of how it's going to be executed, and a finished sketch that I'm going to transfer in a couple minutes. I'm pretty stoked to get this one done in the next day or two :]
